What powder brows are
Powder brows (also called ombré brows) use a machine to place fine dots of pigment, building a soft gradient that's lighter at the front and more defined through the tail. The healed look is a natural "filled-in" brow that works on most skin types, including oily skin and mature skin.

How an appointment goes
Erica maps your brows first and adjusts the shape with you until it's right. Only then does she apply numbing and start shading. Clients with very little brow hair of their own are good candidates too.
I am older, and hardly had any brows for her to work with. She did a fantastic job of mapping/shaping them, and the color came out very natural. I highly recommend her Ombré Powder brow procedure.
Healing timeline
- Week 1: brows look darker and sharper than the final result.
- Week 2: light flaking. Let it shed without picking.
- Weeks 2–4: color can look patchy or faded, then settles softer.
- About 6–8 weeks: touch-up to perfect shape and color.

Questions
How long do powder brows last?
Typically one to three years before a color boost, depending on skin type, sun exposure and skincare. Oily skin and retinol use can fade brows faster.
Will they look fake?
Healed powder brows are soft and shaded, not blocky. The first week looks darker; that's normal and settles as you heal.
Can you cover old brow tattoos?
Sometimes. It depends on the color and saturation of the old work. Bring it up at your consultation so Erica can assess it.
